Description
The Interior Design Department is under the Faculty of Design and Creative Art, Mercu Buana University. This Department has been in existence since 2007. This is in accordance with the License for the Implementation of Departments issued by the Director General of Higher Education, Ministry of National Education No.1511 / D / T / 2007 dated June 22, 2007 concerning the Implementation Permit for Product Design Departments (S1 ) at Mercu Buana University Jakarta. The establishment of this Department was strengthened by the Chancellor’s Decree Number: 07/085 / F-Skep / VII / 2007 concerning the formation of a Product Design Department (S1) within the Mercu Buana University. And the renewal of the implementation of the Department Implementation Department issued by the Director General of Higher Education, Ministry of National Education No.3011 / D / T / K-III / 2009 dated July 28, 2009
When it was founded, the Interior Design Study Program was in the Faculty of Engineering Planning and Design (FTPD) with the Civil Engineering Study Program, Architecture Study Program and Product Design Study Program. But in 2014 the Interior Design Study Program separated itself from the engineering field and was in the Faculty of Creative Design and Art (FDSK) along with the Product Design Study Program and Visual Communication Design Study Program.
The Interior Design Study Program follows the first BAN-PT accreditation in 2012 by obtaining a B value (No.042 / BAN-PT / Ak-XV / XI / 2012). In 2017, the Interior Design Study Program again conducted accreditation and got B score (No.4081 / SK / BAN-PT / Accredited / S / X / 2017).
In the Interior Design Study Program is the field of Education that studies the planning and design of space in a building starting from the planning, design, management to marketing in science and technology discussions and culture (local wisdom).
